Vice President - IT Engineering - Retail/CPG/Consumer Market Research Domain

Position: VP - IT Engineering (Retail/ CPG/ Consumer Market Research Domain) (Leading MNC IT Captive)

Role:

- Define and lead Technology roadmap and own end to end delivery, from Architecture to Operations

- Hands on leadership and end to end ownership of leading and delivering platform and products by leveraging modern technology stack

- Drive innovation and efficiency through the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices, oversee the implementation of solutions leveraging advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities

- Lead full cycle development of strategic initiatives and provide overall technical guidance to the application teams

- Performance Optimization: monitor and optimize systems for efficiency, accuracy, and security, implementing incident response measures as needed.

- Work closely with other platform, product and engineering leaders, creating a linkage between technology development and commercial outcomes

- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices

- Work with various engineer leaders and creative technologist across the ecosystem and bring best design standards to reality, building an ecosystem of tomorrow

- Foster strong engineering discipline, rigor and code craftsmanship across the engineering organization

- Develop and inspire a world class team of engineers and technologist (full stack) fostering the highest quality talent while scaling to meet business challenges

- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the technology team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment conducive to innovation, growth, and professional development.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

- 18+ yrs of experience of hands-on experience in Data & Software Engineering and architecture/design in the Retail/ CPG/ Consumer Market Research domains

- Strong domain experience in the Retail/ CPG/ Consumer Market Research domains is required

- Deep experience in developing scalable and cloud native customer facing application using emerging technologies, architecture principles

- Experience in driving SAFe Agile and DevSecOps engineering practices adoption.

- Experience in training and upskilling engineers in innovative technologies.

- Hands on, creative technologist and delivery champion, not shy of going deep, spending time with engineering leaders and developers

- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, C++

- Deep understanding of data management, sampling, modelling, harmonization, with experience in consumer data and behavior.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, ML (Machine Learning) Studio.

- Experience collaborating with 3rd party data providers and in-depth knowledge of Consumer sourced data.

- Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements, with experience implementing security measures and protocols in data-intensive environments.

- Strong mathematical and statistical background to understand Data Science Models.

- Extensive experience in leading delivery teams in agile software development practices and DevOps

- Advanced knowledge designing for performance, scalability and availability

- Demonstrated experience in designing and building multithreaded distributed systems

- Thrives in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and enjoys being challenged

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence across cross-functional technology teams, the business and outside the organization
