Strategy Consultant - Banking/Global Consulting Firm - Contractual

At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.

Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is currently partnering with several banks across the Middle East and is looking to onboard a Consultant with 5-12 years of strong experience in the banking sector. The objective is to develop and strengthen senior-level relationships - including with CEOs and Board members - across key geographies.

The role involves creating tailored insights for top executives, and therefore requires someone who is highly analytical, has deep domain knowledge in banking, is proficient in interpreting balance sheets and income statements, and is well-versed in peer benchmarking across specific financial categories. Exceptional skills in PowerPoint - both in crafting compelling slides and building a coherent narrative - are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting in-depth analysis of industry challenges, performance benchmarks, and key business drivers, while collating material aligned with anticipated priorities on the executive agenda

- Performing comprehensive research and analysis on the banking industry to identify emerging market trends, evolving customer needs, and industry developments

- Maintaining comprehensive coverage of banking clients by leveraging insights from media reports, broker analyses, client disclosures, and relevant internal engagements

- Synthesising content and performance analyses to develop insight briefings that directly address CEO-level questions and strategic challenges identified through executive engagements

Experience required:

- Banking knowledge and experience - prior experience and/or a focus on banking, with a deep understanding of the industry and broader financial services sector

- A perspective on the banking industry - with the confidence and drive to share and build on this build on this with your peers

- Passionate about research and analysis - with experience in extracting insights and developing industry analysis briefings for senior leaders

This is a 12-month contractual role which can be carried out on remote basis. The selected professional will have to work according to the Middle East timing.
