Senior Vendor Manager

Company: A leading Ecommerce Company (subsidiary of a reputed diversified Group of India)

Location: Bangalore

Working Days: 5 days (work from office)

Reporting to: MVM (People Manager)

Team size: Individual Contributor role

Role & responsibilities:

1. Will be responsible for determining customer market needs, growing selection across the category, brands and use cases, managing vendor partners, optimizing vendor terms, and getting support for promotions.

2. Will be responsible for operating on industry benchmark inventory turns for the category and generating a positive/self-sustaining business by efficient OTB management.

3. Responsible for pricing strategy for the category so that we can offer the customers the best value, value being a combination of price and any convenience.

4. Develop a short-term and long-term plan for growth and report to Senior Management on a regular basis on the state of key topline and bottom-line metrics and risk factors.

5. Manage all the input and output metrics for your respective set of brands/ vendors. Work closely with the vendors to ideate, finalize, and execute the joint business plans with the brands/vendors.

Preferred candidate profile:

- 2-8 years of experience with MBA degree from premier institutes.

- Must have experience in any Softlines category including Apparel, footwear, hand bags, purse, belts, jewelry, or eyewear, will be highly preferred.

- Experience in Launching new brands on platform.

- Efficient negotiation skills.

- Experience in Building selection, Pricing and Terms negotiation.

- Managing P&L, terms of business and models, buying cost, price and quality benchmarking and portfolio management for the brands.

- Ideal candidate worked in Ecommerce or Retail background.
