Hiring for SM/AGM - Talent Acquisition
Location: Kolkata
Job Purpose:
The SM/AGM-TA Sourcing will lead and manage the sourcing function for talent acquisition across all levels for the organization. The role requires strategic sourcing capabilities, deep understanding of the steel/manufacturing sector talent landscape, and strong stakeholder management skills to fulfill workforce needs in a competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies aligned with current and future business needs.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical positions across functions like production, operations, engineering, maintenance, R&D, logistics, and corporate functions.
- Partner with HR leadership and business heads to forecast talent requirements and plan sourcing initiatives accordingly.
Sourcing Execution:
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing process including job posting, market mapping, headhunting, passive candidate search, networking, and leveraging job portals & social media.
- Build strong vendor networks, engage recruitment agencies, and manage third-party sourcing
partners.
- Drive employer branding activities to attract high-quality candidates from the steel and heavy manufacturing sectors.
Market Intelligence:
- Continuously scan the external market to understand talent trends, compensation benchmarks, competitor hiring practices, and candidate availability.
- Provide periodic market intelligence reports to senior management.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with hiring managers, business heads, and HRBP teams to understand role specifications and provide suitable candidate pipelines.
- Conduct regular reviews with leadership on sourcing effectiveness and open position closures.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and labor regulations throughout the sourcing process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports on sourcing activities, pipeline status, and recruitment metrics.
Key Requirements:
- Postgraduate in Human Resources / Business Management.
- 5-8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition with strong exposure to sourcing, preferably in steel, heavy manufacturing, or core industrial sectors.
- Proven experience in managing large scale sourcing mandates across functions.
- Strong networking abilities with deep industry connects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver in fast-paced environments.
- Hands-on experience with ATS systems, job portals, and professional networking tools (LinkedIn, Naukri, etc.).
