Project Manager - Construction - Consulting Firm - Contractual Role

Our client, a global consulting firm, is executing a large-scale residential construction project in partnership with a leading real estate developer. As part of this high-impact engagement, they are supporting end-to-end project execution for one of the developers flagship developments in Delhi.

To ensure timely and effective delivery, the firm is looking to onboard a Construction Project Manager with hands-on construction and project management experience in real estate construction projects. The consultant will play a crucial role in driving day-to-day site execution, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Below summarises the responsibilities of the consultant:

- Serve as the Project Manager, overseeing construction activities and critical Project

Management Office (PMO) tasks

- Work as part of the consulting team to help the client ensure timely delivery of projects

- Identify opportunities to implement structural changes in construction practices, technologies, and ways of working

- Identify and report potential risks and delays, initiating mitigation strategies

- Resolve key challenges on-site in collaboration with site teams to ensure smooth operations

- Ensure that project milestones are met according to the established schedule

- Coordinate across various functions, including the Project Team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), and Design Team

- Establish a governance framework, including conducting reviews, monitoring key metrics, and preparing comprehensive reports

An ideal candidate would have:

- 5 to 10 years of experience in managing large capital expenditure projects in the real estate industry, with a preference for residential projects

- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering; a postgraduate degree from a top-tier university is preferred

- Proven experience in project management, particularly in the real estate sector

- Strong understanding of construction practices, technologies, and project management methodologies

- Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and teams

- Strong communication and reporting skills

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 8-month contract. The consultant will be required to be based in Delhi for the entire duration of the project.
