About the Organisation
It is a fast-growing company committed to empowering businesses through data-driven insights. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Manager/ Chief of Staff in Product to join the team
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager/ Chief of Staff in Product who thrives at the intersection of technology, data, and finance. Youll work closely with clients, engineers, and internal teams to build high-impact products that streamline financial operations at scale. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who can understand complex financial workflows, analyse large data sets, and translate insights into product requirements.
What Youll Do
- Work with enterprise clients to understand financial pain points (AR/AP, Cash Flow, Reconciliation, Close Process, Income Statements).
- Analyse billions of records to uncover patterns, gaps, and insights that guide product features and automation.
- Convert business and finance use cases into structured PRDs, user stories, and product specs for the development team.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and QA teams to ship features on time and with quality.
- Own product outcomes from idea to implementation, including problem scoping, requirement documentation, UAT, and client feedback loops.
- Communicate effectively across tech and non-tech teams, and act as the bridge between business and engineering.
Who You Are
- Engineering degree from a Tier-1 college (IIT, BITS, NIT, or equivalent) is a must.
- 35 years of experience working in or building for Finance, Fintech, or SaaS products.
- Strong grasp of finance fundamentals: AR, AP, Cash Flow management, GL/Trial Balance, Income Statements, and Close processes.
- Proficient in data wrangling: SQL, Excel, and optionally Python or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to handle large datasets and drive actionable insights from them.
- Proven ability to gather, articulate, and translate client requirements into product decisions.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a strong bias for action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to speak the language of both finance professionals and engineers.
Candidate should:
- Be capable of understanding internal technical and external client requirements.
- Translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Be hands-on in identifying root causes, especially when analysing large datasets (example given: Pine Labs).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Background in business analysis with exposure to technology, ideally someone who has grown into a Product Owner/Manager role.
- Should not be a traditional engineer or someone who has transitioned from engineering to product, due to perceptions about unwillingness to do "dirty work."
Bonus Points
- Experience in enterprise SaaS or B2B finance platforms.
- Exposure to reconciliation engines, payment processors, or accounting systems.
- Prior start-up experience or working with distributed teams.
Perks
- High ownership, fast growth, and a learning-rich environment
- Opportunity to shape a category-defining product
- Work with a smart, driven, and mission-aligned team
