Liquidity Risk Manager - Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client, a global consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled professional specializing in Asset Liability Management (ALM), Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), and Liquidity Risk. The consultant will play a key advisory role for clients across the GCC region, supporting the design, implementation, and enhancement of regulatory frameworks such as IRRBB, ILAAP, ICAAP, and RRP in alignment with local central bank guidelines (e.g., SAMA, CBUAE, CBB, QCB).

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead ALM and liquidity risk advisory engagements for banking and financial institutions across the GCC.

- Design and implement IRRBB measurement and management frameworks including EVE/NII sensitivity models, behavioral assumptions, and stress testing methodologies.

- Guide clients in the preparation and enhancement of ILAAP, ICAAP, and RRP frameworks, ensuring alignment with both Basel III/IV standards and local regulatory requirements (e.g., SAMA, CBUAE).

- Conduct balance sheet reviews and liquidity profile assessments to support optimization and compliance strategies.

- Develop and implement stress testing scenarios for capital and liquidity adequacy under normal and stressed conditions.

- Advise clients on best practices in ALCO governance, limit setting, liquidity buffers, and contingency funding planning.

- Contribute to the design and documentation of internal models and risk management policies, including MRM (Model Risk Management) governance and model validation frameworks.

- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, client pitches, and the development of market-relevant offerings.

- Act as a subject matter expert in client meetings and regulatory interactions, providing high-quality technical advice and documentation support.

- Mentor and guide junior team members; contribute to knowledge sharing and capability building within the advisory team.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related fields.

Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or PRM are highly preferred.

- 8-10 years of experience in ALM, IRRBB, Liquidity Risk, and Balance Sheet Management within banking or consulting/advisory environments.

- Hands-on experience in IRRBB, ILAAP, ICAAP, and RRP implementation and regulatory reporting in GCC jurisdictions (e.g., SAMA ILAAP Guidelines, CBUAE ICAAP requirements).

- Strong understanding of Basel regulatory frameworks and regional central bank supervisory expectations.

- Familiarity with risk and treasury systems (e.g., QRM, Moody's Risk Authority, FTP engines)
