Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Execution
- Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies) relevant to B2B SaaS, e-commerce, and SellersCommerce's offerings.
- Develop and write high-quality, engaging long-form content (e.
, blog posts, articles, white papers, case studies, ebooks) and clear, persuasive marketing copy for various platforms (website, email campaigns, social media, landing pages) to promote our products/services.
- Prepare well-structured drafts, ensuring factual accuracy, adherence to brand voice and style guidelines, and optimization for target personas.
- Conduct simple keyword research and implement SEO guidelines to increase web traffic, improve search engine rankings, and enhance content visibility.
- Update and repurpose existing website content as needed to maintain accuracy, freshness, and relevance.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner closely with marketing, sales, product, and design teams to ensure content aligns with overall business goals, marketing campaigns, and product messaging.
- Submit work to editors, managers, and relevant stakeholders for input and approval, incorporating feedback constructively and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure articles and other content pieces are visually appealing and effectively illustrated.
- Actively promote content on social media and collaborate with the broader marketing team on content distribution strategies.
Content Performance & Optimization
- Identify customers needs, industry trends, and gaps in our current content strategy; recommend new topics, content formats, and creative approaches.
- Monitor and analyze content performance using relevant metrics (e.
, website traffic, engagement rates, conversion rates, SERP rankings, and lead generation contribution).
- Use data and insights to iterate on content strategy, optimize existing content for better performance, and improve the effectiveness of future content initiatives.
Content Management & Best Practices
- Utilize Content Management Systems (e.
, WordPress, HubSpot) for efficient publishing, management, and organization of content.
- Help maintain an organized content calendar and digital asset repository.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest content marketing trends, SEO best practices, B2B SaaS industry developments, and competitor content strategies.
Requirements
- Proven work experience (2+ years) as a content writer, copywriter, content marketing specialist, or similar role, specifically within a B2B SaaS company.
- A strong portfolio of published articles, blog posts, marketing copy, and other content pieces demonstrating excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills, preferably targeting B2B audiences.
- Experience conducting thorough research using multiple sources (online databases, interviews, studies, and industry reports).
- Deep understanding of content marketing principles, web publications, digital marketing channels, and the B2B buyer's journey.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English, with meticulous attention to detail, grammar, and clarity.
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of creating content that has performed well in SERPs and contributed to achieving marketing objectives (e.
, increased traffic, lead generation).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A self-starter attitude with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a strong bias for action.
Familiarity with the e-commerce technology space is a plus.
