A leading global consulting firm is partnering with a prominent Indian pharmaceutical client to drive key strategic initiatives across their generics and biosimilars divisions. This engagement is part of a broader growth and operational excellence program aimed at expanding market presence while optimizing core processes across R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization

As a consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping growth strategies, enhancing operational efficiencies, and overseeing critical project management initiatives. Your expertise will directly influence the clients expansion into key global markets, while ensuring streamlined operations and sustainable cost optimization across their value chain

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute growth strategies for generics and biosimilars, aligning with global market trends and client objectives

- Lead R&D and technology transfer initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across internal teams and external stakeholders

- Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities for API and Drug Formulation (DF) divisions

- Establish and run a Project Management Office (PMO) to oversee key workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and cross-functional alignment

- Conduct market analysis across key geographies (US, EU, Emerging Markets/Rest of World, and India) to inform strategic decisions

- Collaborate closely with senior client leadership and cross-functional teams to drive impactful outcomes

Your Background:

- 3 to 10 years of experience in business consulting, specifically within the pharmaceutical sector

- Proven track record of delivering strategic growth initiatives for generics and biosimilars players

- Strong experience in R&D operations, tech transfer processes, and cost optimization for API and DF manufacturing

- Familiarity with global market clusters including US, EU, Emerging Markets/ROW, and India

- Exceptional project management skills, with experience setting up and running PMOs

- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication abilities

The project is based in Mumbai with a 6-month contract, extendable up to 18 months based on performance and project needs. The consultant will have to relocate and woek on-site from Mumbai for the entire duration of the project
