Our client, a global consulting firm, is working on a comprehensive transformation project for a leading quick commerce company in India.
As part of this high-impact program, the consultant will play a key role in leading the category management strategies that directly influence the client's sales performance. They will work closely with client leadership and cross-functional teams to implement channel-specific initiatives that enhance market penetration and optimize sales operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the category management strategy, including assortment planning, pricing, and promotional design
- Leverage experience in ads and performance marketing to drive product visibility and conversions across platforms
- Identify opportunities to grow market share in quick commerce and e-commerce platforms through data-driven decisions
- Liaise with platform account managers (e.g., Amazon, Zepto, Instamart) to implement joint business plans and advertising campaigns
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on category performance and consumer behavior to optimize sales
- Collaborate cross-functionally with client teams across supply chain, sales, and marketing to align priorities and execution
Your Background:
- 5-12 years of experience in category management, e-commerce/quick commerce, or ads/performance marketing roles
- Prior experience with Amazon or quick commerce players (Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart) is a must
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms, ad tools, and category levers
- Demonstrated ability to work with platform stakeholders and internal teams to drive outcomes
- Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Consulting experience is a plus but not mandatory
Other Information:
This opportunity will be on a contract duration of 6 months (extendable)
The consultant will be required to work on-site in Kolkata, Monday through Friday, and travel back to their home base over the weekends (consulting travel model).
There is potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.
